Now that I've got the silliness out of my system for today, I promised to begin writing about my experiences and beliefs on my path to becoming an RMT. Let me first begin by saying that because I (or anyone else for that matter) believes one thing, that doesn't make it "true." Truth for me isn't absolute, since in my world I am it's co-creator. What I believe to be so shapes the "reality" that comes to me.
When it comes to Reiki, let's start at the most basic level. What is Reiki? We are told that it is universal life force energy that runs through everything that exists. We are told that this concept exists in many cultures by many names: ki in Japan, chi in China; prana in India, etc. However, Reiki can't be the universal life force in its entirety, since we are also told that Reiki can do no harm and clearly, some forms of energy can harm, can corrupt.
I believe Reiki to be one band of many in a network of energy that is part of us and we are part of it. But it is not the only band. It is not the totality. That's okay with me, since knowing I can do no harm makes it easier for me to accept Reiki into my life and to practice without fear.
More next time.

Evening Dee~
Thank you for sharing this post!
In the 7 years that I have been practicing Reiki. I discovered (simply for myself) that Reiki is meant NOT to be defined or even understood.
As you stated...it is one of many bands of energy.
The reason I LOVE Reiki so much, is because it challenges my need to "know."
The more I TRUST and SURRENDER to it...the more it uses me.
Those who are drawn to it...will come. And those who are not...will find something else.
Be well,
Ron
Hey Ron,
Exactly! The more I find out the more I realize I don't know a thing. That's why study and practice is for a life time. And I am enjoying the journey so much.
All the best,
Dee
