A funny thing happened on the way to the website

Those of you who read this blog regularly have probably figured out that lots of "funny" things happen to me--funny as in unexpected and rewarding. Well, today I was about to change the Goddess card on the sidebar to Ixchel. I got her in a reading today. Her meaning is Medicine Woman--You are a channel for Divine healing power. What's better than that?

While I was searching for a picture to use I came upon another site dedicated to Mother Goddesses. You see, I'd spelled the name with two L's not one. The Ixchell I came to was a professor discussing the Aztec mother goddess Coatlique placing the moon in the sky. The painting of this goddess has got to be one of the most striking I have seen.

You know goddesses are my thing, so I was glad to add another to my list that I do research on and give homage to and delighted to find info on other mother goddesses as well. I hope you'll give a look to both the goddess site and a peek at Lisa Iris's artwork. Both are lovely.
